Pretty Little Liars

So I just finished the fourth book in the series Pretty Little Liars By Sara Shepard. If you haven't any of these books, I totally recommend them. They are the best set of books I have ever read in my whole entire life! When I saw the Barbie Doll on the cover, I was a bit hesitant, hoping it would not be a childish book. But as I started reading it, I was pleased to find out it was well thought out and very dramatic. It's the perfect murder mystery for any teenage girl. I was so pleased the the books, I could not put them down, and read each one in a matter of hours.

"After the queen bee of their clique mysteriously disappears during a slumber party on the last day of seventh grade, the remaining four girls drift apart. Now, three years later, the Rosewood, Pa., former pals are practically strangers, but still plagued by the secrets that they shared with Alison and new scandals they are trying to keep under wraps. Then they each start receiving cryptic messages from someone named "A" who seems to know everything, and makes them wonder, "Was she back?" The four girls are fairly standard types: there is free-spirited Aria, overachiever Spencer, good-girl Emily, a star swimmer, and glamorous Hanna. It's a story that gets you hooked, because at the end of the chapter, there's always a cliffhanger that urges you to keep reading until you're done with the book. Every single book had different twists and turns and was totally unpredictable. You get so into the books, that you actually feel like you are in the book and you're there. And there are so many different leads and clues, that you never find out who A is or who the murderer is until the end of the book.

Heath Ledger Case Closed!

The investigation of Heath Ledger's death is finally closed! Federal prosecutors were looking into how got the prescription drugs that he overdosed on. I'm glad the case is finally closed, so we can stop hearing about Heath Ledger's death and get on with our lives. I mean investigating every little detail of Heath's death is not going to bring him back. Honestly, we should just focus on the positive stuff to remember him by. Like how he was an amazing actor, father and friend.

Stop in The Name of Love!!

I've had this song stuck in my head all day. It's a really old song, so some of you may not recognize it, but to me it never gets old. It's Stop! In the Name of Love, by Diana Ross. This is my song of the day. I didn't realize until now, how many great songs are by Diana Ross. Like Endless Love, I mean c'mon that's such a classic! What movie is that from, I can't remember.... OH! Happy Gilmore of course! I should know that since it's my favorite movie in the whole entire world! :D "Your in my world now grandma.. now you will go too sleep or I will put you to sleep." hahaha

Teen Choice Awards

So I was stoked to watch the Teen Choice awards last night, but then I had to babysit, so I only ended up catching the last half hour of it.

I did however see the part where Miley and Mandy (I love them!), and the M&M crew did their little dance and I thought it was awesome! Miley Cyrus is seriously my idol. I don't care what anyone says about her, I think she's awesome. She seems like such a down to earth normal, cooky teen like me and my friends. And the way she balance off of LL Cool J at the end of the dance, that takes some serious confidence to do that. hahaha It made me laugh.

And then I saw the part where the Jonas Brothers won hottest males award.
I thought that was kind of crappy. I mean, I don't see way everyone is so obsessed with the Jonas Brothers these days. Personally I don't even think their that cute. The only one I think is cute is Nick Jonas (who was looking pretty good in that white suit last night). Joe Jonas looks like a girl and needs a serious haircut and Kevin is just plain weird and not good looking. So, I think it should have been the Nick Jonas award. Joe Jonas and Selena Gomez were probably texting each the whole night while sitting next to each other. hahhaah

And then, I was quite pleased to see David Beckham win the Best Athlete award, because he is quite talented and good looking. He did look mighty fine, excepting the award, I have to admit.
And his british accent is so sexy and seductive. And how friggen cute were his three boys. Especially the littlest one doing his own little brake danceing move in the middle of the stage. That was adorable. I wish David Beckham was the father of my children. Victoria Beckham doesn't deserve him, she may be a great mother off camera, but I don't think I've ever seen her smile! She always looks so miserable.

And what was up with Lil Mama's outfit!!! It looked like she raided little Bo Peep's closet. I don't know what she was thinking, but that looked terrible. I mean c'mon Lil Mama, you can look so much better than that!

Well, that's all I really remember about it.

Summer Flicks!

So... this summer has been quite rainy so far :(, but at least there's plenty of good movies playing. It seems the movie theater has become my official "summer hangout".

The first movie I saw, to kick off the start of summer was, Journey to The Center of the Earth 3D. It was actually pretty good. I mean, I wouldn't go running out to buy the movie, but it was entertaining for kids. If your a fan of The Goonies, then you'd like this, because that's what it kind of reminded me of. The main character, Brendon Fraser, is a pretty good actor. Though he's getting old, he's kind of cute in a weird sort of way. The last movie I saw him in was Encino Man (1992) and that's movies freakin hilarious, from Brendon's "younger" acting days. So I have to give him credit for that.

The next movie I saw was Hancock, which was a total bust. I was truly disappointing in Will Smith's performance. This was probably the first movie I haven't enjoyed that he was in. Although, I do admit the ending was unexpected, but I don't want to spoil it for you.

The Dark Knight was certainly no disappointment. I had high expectations when I went to go see this movies, since it was the one movie critics were raving about. I was very pleased the whole time watching it and I wanted to see more when it was over. Christian Bale is a so-so actor, but this movie would have been nothing without Heath Ledger. He did an outstanding job playing the joker, and I have to say it was probably his best acting job ever. Even my dad was extremely impressed, and it takes a lot to impress him. Seeing Heath do such a great job makes me truly sad that he passed away, because now i realize how much talent and potential he had. I also always had a secret crush on him and I will not lie, I cried when he died. :( And also, they can't make a squeal to this movie now, which totally sucks.

Mamma Mia!, was easily the best musical I've ever seen. It even tops Hairspray (with heart-throb Zac Efron). The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and dreamy. I never realized what a great actress Amanda Siefred is, because the only other movie I've ever seen her in was her dumb blonde performance as Karen in Mean Girls. The music was fun and catchy, but not overdone like in the movie Dream Girls where it seems like the don't even talk normally, they just sing the whole time. It was also so exciting and kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. It made me want to just jump up and start dancing right in the middle of the movie theatre. And who is that hot actor who was Amanda Seifreid's fiance Sky in the movie? Dominic Cooper. He's was so dreamy to watch, I wish I was the one marrying him. I especially enjoyed the seductive scene of him and Sophie on the beach in their bathing suits.

I'd have to say, the was one of Meryl Streep's best performances yet as a youthful looking, middle-aged mother. She looks alot younger compared to the last time I saw her in The Devil Wear Prada. Her two crazy freinds played by Julie Walters & Christine Baranski kept me laughing the whole entire time. And I thought that Christine looked familiar, probably because she's Martha May Who from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. This is a great movie to take your mother or your daughter for some mother daughter bonding. Oh and by the way, Peirce Brosnan better sitck to James Bond because he can't sing worth crap.

The last movie I saw was Step Brothers.

I got dragged there with my brothers and a bunch of guys and I didn't know what I was getting myself into. It was so stupid and ridiculous, I just don't find that stuff funny. I don't know, I guess some people have a weird sense of humor and consider watching Will Farrell rub his hairy ball sack on a drum set funny, but I call it disturbing. Everyone else seemed to be laughing up a storm, while I sat there thinking "Why did I come to this?". It seems Will Farrell has a knack for making stupid, pointless movies, because the last movie I saw him in, Semi-Pro was also stupid and pointless. It's like they're trying too hard to make you laugh. Probably the funniest line of the whole movie was, "Your voice sound like a combination of Fergie and Jesus." That was the only memorable quote of the movie to me. Movies like these seem to appeal only to teenage boys ages 14-25. Anyone else who gets dragged to this crap and has to sit through it, I feel sorry for you.

Well, there you have it. Those are the movies I have seen so far, and I'm pretty pumped because there looks like alot of great movies are coming out this month. I'm especially excited to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, which comes out tomorrow. I've been waiting for this movie to come out for years, since I was a big fan of the first one and I read all the books. I also can't wait to see The House Bunny, with Anna Faris. It's looks so cute and like such a chick flick (which I love!). And I'm so happy to see Anna Faris on the big screen again, because she was one of my favorite actresses in Hot Chick, but then we didn't seem to see much more of her after that (except for in Scary Movie 1,2,3 and 4 of course). Another movie that looks pretty good, that I just saw a preview for today is The Rocker, the story of a failed drummer who is given a second chance at fame when he joins his nephew's rock band. It has Teddy Geiger in it, who is absolutely goregeous and I've never seen him act before, so that should be interesting.
